hi guys
Ailwyn has the pictures so i,m sure they will be arriving shortly, the manifold is matched equal length down pipes, i believe it is 14 gauge stainless not to sure of the grade but i no they only use the highest grades of stainless and inconel pipe, the collectors are hand fabricated from seperate bent tubes they are finished of by tig welding the component but not forgeting to gas purge the the collector, gas purging is where you fill the component with a flowing pressure of pure argon which enables the penetration while you are welding to be smooth on the inside as the outside i,e increasing gas flow speed, the flange on this was water cut from stainless and then matched to the head, i did show matt pictures of bills izusu performance manifold or header and he said that 2.1/2 size was to big and because of space on the elan m100 the pipe needed to twist round. To ensure both pipes are equal length they are carefully measured and filled with sand to ensure correct volume, they are Decibel tested prior to hand over and road tested, the EGR pipe was capped of by myself with a stainless gas valve nut the thread was a very unusual size and after much searching i found from a gas components supplier, should have looked there first really as this is my living, the head has light polishing and porting and stainless three angle valves, would like to go for cams really but as the verniers are unavailable this could get costly, next thing on the list is a complete rebuild and lighten and balance poss set of AP power throttle bodies, although a custom set of intakes would need to be fabricated from aluminum and crank angle sensor i,m told , i have a set of Bob browns rear hub and disk conversion, and Hi spec fronts so he may be the man that can help, he is i might add a very nice and very inteligent man, i have to contact him soon as i have had the rear hubs powder coated in the hardest du pont coating available, will attempt to put them on the site as well, my wife says i have OCD but hay ho it keeps me out of the pub (a bit)
