I dunno... I'd be surprised if there was demand for 50 of these cables!
Yes please - I have never looked at my cable - but I bet it's bad

The originals easily get knackered (especially if the soundproofing gets wet and rests on it for a few years!) are a pain to fit and look awful. So,

See, I told you 50 was achievable
(I know we're not there yet, but i happen to know that a few of 'the usual suspects' do not have site access at the moment - I'd be surprised if a certain 3 or 4 people didn't get their names on the list sooner or later

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

With alittle luck and help from Ekapol I may be able to supply his spare throttle cable to use as a template for LHD versions. PM me an addy to send it to. Again though as soon as I get a minute with my car I'll get rough lengths from the firewall fitting to the end of the threaded ferrule.

Ok, I'm trying to get some heat protective sleeving supplied in red as well as black.
I've got a supplier for silicone-coated glass fibre braid, similar to the 1650C aerospace product I mentioned before but a lighter (& cheaper) grade that's more suitable for automotive use.
Can those who'd like red sleeving please make a note on the list, eg: (red)
Anyone else I'll assume is happy with black sleeving.

Progress update:
I should be at the workshop checking some samples of heat sleeving for fit on Friday.
I aim to have all the materials delivered by early next week, finish my testing and be ready to order the RHD cables around the 25th. LHD will take longer as I want to have someone test the dimensions on one before I order the rest.
Including the sleeving, materials cost is probably going to be around £15 max per cable. Final cost will depend on what Venhill charge for fabrication; I don't want to make up all 35 cables myself! Oh, and red sleeving shouldn't be a problem
