£2,000 for a 51k runner that isn't Cat D or C?

That's not just a 'good buy' or a 'Billy Bargain" - it's a 'Stevie Steal' - and I speak as the remowned price pessimist on LEC. That's got to be the best buy of the year so far.

Congratulations on your good taste and good fortune, enjoy the car.

Hmmmm... I like my post! I can't for the life of me remember writing it though.
Damn that Australian jet lag!

Ha, ha... Nice one who ever changed my post. Jackonicko and I had a bet it would be gone by 6.30pm.
I thought the original was inspired though!

Now that really IS a good question. Which company even agreed to insure a 22 year old on what is a supercar?

ah so its not your everyday car then.....just presumed that for the guys in their early 20's that these car would be their only mode of transport.......:)

No it was. For the first year of owning the Elan it was my everyday car. Lancaster do a classic car insurance policy for classic cars but I didn't need to have an everyday car or limited mileage of anything silly. It was costing me around £1200 per year but now I am 22 (23 this month) and have an everyday car, I have managed to insure both with Admiral for less than £800! My aim this September is to get the Elan on specialist classic insurance with agreed value etc.
