Im going to get a set of stainless steel seat protectors made up as mine are a bit tatty. Not sure if i should go for poished or brushed finished... knowing elan central im guessing quite a few of you will have had new ones fitted at some point so thought i would see if anyone has got photos of either polished or brushed ones in place? I think im edging towards brushed...
As you can see im having a hard time on a friday afternoon!

Did you get any further on this? Brushed I think would be better than shiny polished, but also there's nothing else silver in the car, so not sure they'd look right? I'm having my seats re-trimmed in the week and my seat protectors need something doing to them, just not sure what.

I've just made a couple of seat protectors out of titanium .
The finish has been shot blasted with glass media .
I think they look ok but the only problem is you have to reblast them if you ever sratch or mark them

They look really neat, but I guess as they are actually supposed to be protectors it sort of defeats their purpose if they constantly require polishing if scratched! Do look good though.

I was thinking the same thing. They need to have a surface/finish that doesn't show scratches, because they are gauranteed to get scratched.

Like black plastic that can be changed out every now and again when the wear becomes an eyesore?

Not sure if this is normal, but probably....
Black, textured metal. I think that's probably standard. Then mine had black vinyl glued to them. The vinyl can easily be replaced when it gets buggared.

I have to agree about the finish but the whole point of these protecters is to protect the leather seats .
The finish could easily be finished with scotchbright or fine emery.
Also my seats dont actually get moved any further back from where they are so its not really a problem .
