PAS high pressure hose removal

Postby nsr250 » Wed 09.09.2009, 19:54

I need to have my high pressure hose repaired / replaced. I've gotten the top mount off the ps pump just fine but the tube that runs to the rack refuses to budge. The nut is broken loose and backed off but the tube won't come out. I assumed this was just a flare fitting of some sort. Is it being stubborn or is it a different type of fitting?

Yep there just flared, once the nut is undone on the rack end then it should pull out IIRC there`s also a P clip higher up attached to the bulkhead. When doing mine I had to cut the pipes as the pipe was just twisting

Yup, it was just stubborn. Spent another 20 minutes pulling, twisting, cursing, etc. when all of a sudden it decided to break free.

Thanks
