Lifting the car to change a driveshaft (another story) my Clarke trolley jack from the group buy a few years ago pissed its oil all over the floor
Luckily the car was already on stands, I was just trying to get it a bit higher. Back to the old faithful 30 year old Charlie Brown.
Anyway please take care if you have one of these jacks, some similar stories out there. If the plunger does not return the handle to the vertical under spring pressure without assistance your seals are almost certainly toast.
Mine has failed in 2 places, the O rings on the plunger and the copper washer at the base of the plunger housing.
Not sure if I will ever trust it again
