Practically Elan

Postby 666 » Sat 12.09.2009, 18:52

I just joined up here (Got an Elan s2, which i have had for 11 years !)

Live in the Czech Republic at moment - just married my Czech Girlfriend after a few years and drive everywhere in the elan - we both love her!!

Drove 2000 km this summer on our honeymoon to southern Italy - had a lovely time and as usual packed the elan like it was a Volvo XC 90!

Here are a couple of pics showing what our cars can do when you are in a country where the police let you get on with whatever you are determind to do - like take a 3 metre dingy to the beach on your convertible!!!

I'll never look at dinghy afloat again without thinking of the elan suspended below the water line !! :?

Were the photos taken at low tide ? ;-)

Off topic & @ geoff: What's in your Avatar now? A pre production model of a Segway?
What i would like is a topic where you can list up all your (idiotic) Avatars :-D

666 ..... welcome to the forum !

I really like your idea of adding an aftermarket airbag...... but it looks like you might have slightly misread the fitting instructions :D

Cheers,

Martin.

No, but I know the Chief Engineer for the Segway gyros and he is also called Geoff.... and he too is clinically insane.... we were crossing a road in the US together and the sign changed to "DO NOT WALK" so we simultaneously proceeded to hop the rest of the way.
