Hi just joined – going to look at an Elan tomorrow. Just a query – as I have just joined do I receive confirmation of being a member of the club. I recently phoned a insurance company for a quote and if I am a member of LEC I would receive a discount on insurance premium. How do I go about this? do i receive a number.

By the way i think the web site is excellent
hope some one can help Who do i give a donation to

Welcome to LEC
There is an article about membership numbers see
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=14826&p=202486&hilit=membership+number#p202486There are people about who are more than happy to give advice about a prospective Elan purchase so if you have any details feel free to ask any questions you like

IIRC most insurance compannies only have the two Lotus connections:-
"Club Lotus" & Lotus Clubs (Basically any other Lotus club)
TTFN
If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The N/A-Team.

At the Lotus Drivers Club we have a very strong connection with Kim Eaton at Abbots Insurance and unlike some other uhm Lotus Clubs we enjoy organising our events and include our members every step of the way, you feel involved and get out what you put in, much like this site! Kim can be contacted through our forum here and he has done some great deals for members.
