I went for the (boring ?) black ones as well as I didn't fancy the chavvy blue or red ones. Just my preference of course as I wanted the engine bay to still look original. The SAMCO logo is quite discreet.

PS I've retained many of the original hoses - I'll give you the lot for £50 + postage BB if you need cheap ones ;-)

Rambo did you get any photos of the setup after the new hoses were installed. Just out of interest.
Think these will be on my shopping list next month, trying to get a few things done over the winter so would make sense.

The ones on ebay are from "Amber Performance". They're also available from the same company but with an LEC discount here, which I think makes them somewhat cheaper.

If you phone them, ask for James and he'll give you the LEC discount. You might also consider ordering the stainless clips at the same time.

Thanks mate, ye I picked up on this James from previous posts so sure Amber Performance will be my first port of call. So I will need the complete hose set with the extra bit for the S2 radiator hose, and the stainless clip set?

Sorry, didn't realise you'd picked up on the LEC discount.

I didn't know about the extra S2 bit. I'm one of the riff-raff with an SE. :-)

The stainless clips do finish them off really nicely though.

s**t - you guys bitch a lot. Are you al 15 yr old girls? :poke:

At least you can get parts and accessories......

Eveything I need is custom or posted from the UK, so its BLOODY expensive.

And 250 odd pounds = about $400AUD, which is still very very cheap, that Samco kit is excellent value. I had to pay over $200AUD just for a top & bottom radiator hose kit - for a Ford for christ sake.

Sorry CJ - no photo's. Just imagine the original black ones but a bit shinier and with Samco written on them. Pretty boring really. Have a look at Dico's project thread (last page/turbo upgrade) and you will see some nice shiny blue ones.

Filing that I'm sure Mr Peak District will post a photo of his yellow hoses............ and those matching booties ;-)

Jackdaniel - you'll soon come to realise that the banter we have amongst LEC friends is as invaluable as all the other more serious stuff re. parts and problem solving.

We're all one big happy family really ;-)
