I don't think having them fitted is going to be any of a bigger risk than not having them fitted!
I was more looking from the looks side of things and the bonus of having the wind breaker!
The answer is out there, It’s looking for you. And it will find you if you want it to!

I had thought that just buying a pair of the bolt on pug 206 cabrio hoop and bolting then through the rear deck would have been good......
then decided not to..........
they should be easy to do....drill a couple of holes.....
if you want a wind blocker then do as many others have done and get a perspex thing to go between the hoops
cheers

great idea Gareth if looks are all you're after! I would suggest looking at the fixings as they will have to be strong enough if the optional perspex wind blocker is fitted as well.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

They were both Group buys so you had to stick your hand up at the time,
One pops up now and then because someone might have bought one at the time,
but then thought bugger fitting that

i,m progressing to get one made as a one off - very much in the same concept as the ones already done ref: the group buy
The company that did make them can not justify the option of making a few one off's - and they also said they had to do a fair bit of work to get them fitted
so - if you have a reputable fabricator - someone who maybe works with track / hill climb car's etc ... then - I would sugest this as an option
For a one off - it will always be preferable that it is built on the car
any fabricator that you consider, first qu. = can they bend the pipe without creasing it ? - if yes then you know your on the right track, or put another way, if they show you a bend with mandrel crush or bite marks in it - walk away
dare say you must be able to get a decent price for the job in Greece at the moment
