DashEight, I don't know if you have read the other threads here - but I am in Portland and I tried to go buy the White 24k. I found out that it had been sold LAST October and that SCM had neglected to pull the ad. (or the PO neglected to inform SCM) Anyway, would have been a great car. Coulda-shoulda-woulda Good luck!

Well, I've been LAID-OFF at the start of this last week. Lotus projects and buying an Elan M100 are on ice for now. Be back in the hunt soon.

Well, I'm very happy to announce that I was able to accept a job offer this afternoon for the Materials Manager position at a Hospital here in Seattle!!! The Hospital has a great staff and I’m excited to come onboard. My Esprit is no longer for sale, I am able to now look forward again to fixing it and continuing my pursuit for an Elan M100. What a difference 5 years makes. Its funny to look back at this time in my life and remember when I first wrote this want ad. I haven't been on here since that time. Its amazing how time flys and life changes. Anyway this is my M100, Because I have one now, I'm no longer am looking for one to buy. -Patrick

I wasn't patient at all actually. Over the last 5 years, I have been promoted to an Area Director of Purchasing at my Hospital and we've managed to open 3 facilities. It has been Go, Go, Go! In addition to my Europa, E30 M3, Esprit and Jeep, I also added a few other cars to the collection that I have been staying busy working on. Here is the list in order or purchase:

2 1988 Toyota Celica Alltrac Turbo IMSA GTO
3 1981 Delorean DMC-12
4 1985 Toyota Corolla GT-S
5 1973 Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 Export
6 1992 Lotus Elan M100

I've sold the Celica and the Sentra for space reasons. I wish I hadn't, they were both very fun cars. It has been nice to finally capture an M100.

Nice Elan! Looks just like mine.
You need to dress up the wheels with new Lotus logo center caps. They are especially nice on Norfolk Mustard Elans and compliment the green "yellow" with the rest of the car.
Also, i noticed something wrong up front with your parking lights. It appears they are wired up wrong. Parking lights are on one side and turn signals on the other. You have one side with inner light lit and other side outer light lit. Somethings just not right there.

Ted, you have good taste it the wheel logos. I'll have to look into that along with the wiring on the lights. I know the last owner had removed a Alarm system that was non functional and that might be part of it. There was an minor accident on the title search a long time ago and the car had been fixed by Park Place in Bellevue WA. It transfered owners after that so who knows. I know the first thing I am going to look into is a rebuild/refurbish of the steering rack. There is a clicking of the driverside inner tie rod shaft when you hold it and have someone turn the wheel full lock. The front end other than that is good. -Patrick
