THE PERFECT SPARK PLUG GAP?

just got myself a set of the NGK Iridiums and was wondering whats the best Gap to adjust them to?

8mm 1.1cm ????

Hope I dont start a flamer, but If I remember correctly from setting the gaps on the jag, the UK and US have different gaps due to the different octane ratings of UK vs US fuel (not even the octane classification is the same! so its gets a little confusing)... However without looking in the book, im not sure if the UK gap is larger or smaller... Im sure someone will provide the answer before I find out.

The gap should be factory set if you bought the right plugs. I have read that the iridium tips are quite fragile, so knock them about at your own risk.

I bought the right plugs, but a quick check with a feeler gauge confirmed that two plugs had slightly tight gaps. They _should_ be set from the factory, but it doesn't hurt to double check.

PS. you should really use a proper wire-type gap gauge, although I made do (carefully) with a feeler gauge.
