Shower Capes

Postby rizla » Tue 29.09.2009, 20:15

Hi There, I am looking for a shower cape for my Elan Turbo SE. The car is in daily use doing 84 miles a day. But at night I would like to make sure that it doesn't get caught out in any sudden downpours. Any suggestions?
He's back.....and it's about time!

Hi
I have a shower cape used very little in black. If you are interested in it I will be going to Malvern where you can see it.

I recently bought one from here:

http://www.moto-build.com/mainsite/elan_showercape.html

It is very easy to fit, although when it arrived it was too tight and one of the elastic wing mirror bands broke straight away. Put a new one on with a sewing machine, and it is now fine.

I have the moto-build one too. It's great, but not entirely waterproof. I periodically spray it with some of that waterproofing spray hunter/campers use, and that helps a lot. I also added a little elastic strip with a sucker on it midway back on each side to hold the sides down. That helps keep any water from getting in at the bottom of the window glass.
