New with an Elan What service should I get at 96K?

Hi,

I'm a new Elan owner and have only had company cars. which service should I get when the milage reaches 96k?
And can anyone recommend a good place to get it done round round the south Bucks area?

depends what was done last time and when it was done.....
if youve just bought it....what did the last owner do/have done service wise?....

If you haven`t got paper work for the following then i would get them done

Cambelt (every 5/7 years or 60k)
tentioner pulley
idler pulley
If you odrer the above parts from RockAutos (from the USA) also be worth buying there waterpump to and have ii fitted at the same time with the above.
might as well change the Alt and PAS belts.

would also do
fuel filter
coolant
brake fluid

then your normal service
oil
filter
plugs
check condition of leads (can be found on ebay)

Check all brake calipers
ie that the piston and sliding pins are free

Sound advice from Monty but if you're not as handy as him with a spanner it's going to cost you wherever you go so probably best to prioritise the work and get a quote for all or part of the work before you get landed with a 3 page invoice

Definitely worth getting all cam-belt ancillaries tensioners, water pump etc.. The guy before only got the cam-belt changes then when I bought it the water pump gave in. I bought all of my stuff from Rock Autos who sent me all parts at a very reasonable price. Got them fitted and I can now forget for the next 60,000 miles. I use my Elan every day driving a 90 mile round trip, so it was important for me to get peace of mind. I got a quotation from GST and they stuck within it. Which was what I needed (i.e no surprises!!).
