Helpful to use lift when installing AB Motorsport gearcable?

My buddy has access to a lift at his work and has offered to help me install the AB Motorsport gearcables and the short shift kit.

Is it helpful to use a lift? Or is it unnecessary? The shop is 40 miles further down the road.

No, just completed this very assembly. You will have great joy.
Take your time, allow ample time.
1. center shifter
2. Cable ends at trans. will be tight. Lube will not help.
Enlarge opening with small rat tail file. But do not over enlarge.

Replacing the normal cables takes 45 mins, no lift involved, but can be handy to fish for cables or just to allow for a comfortable working height
Definitely not necessary

I had no problems at all with that bit. Could Fed & UK Elans have differences in that area?
