Postby Monty » Fri 07.05.2010, 09:52

Couldn`t get on the forum last night, was getting a screen full of code ie squares etc and got a virus warning which was quarantined.

Good to see it`s survived :-D

It was noticed fairly quickly, and the resident geniuses got onto it and sorted it out!

I don't know the details, and although i noticed it, i couldn't contact Al, but someone did, and it got mended!

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Apologies, we got got hacked and every php file was edited to include some dodgy content at the top.

Should be fixed now, but please prod me if you notice any lingering problems.

Hi Al

It's had a slightly bizarre effect for me. Got the same screen last night as others i.e. the goobledegook text. Then later on last night it seemed to come back as normal.

Now, tonight, pressing "active topics" only brings up one recently posted thread. If I change from 7 days to 1 year's worth I do get a list but the rest of the threads are years old (2005!). Pressing "View unread posts" also only brings up the same single thread.

I can get to all the recent posts, individually, by going into each section so I'm guessing it's something amiss with the search facility. Or is it something I've done ??

Thanks
Roland

Edit: "View unread posts" has just suddenly started working !! :?

Cheers Songbird, so it isn't just me then!

Is it the "2010 Snetterton Lotus Festival 19th-20th June" thread?

Thats the one... 2010 Snetterton....
And when you click the dropdown box to change the page from 7 days to show all listings ...there is nothing from 2005 to the Snetterton post of todays date....
So it seems its messed up for everyone ...

:D I got a pm this morning and when I went to reply later today
my in box had nothing showing  even though it told me it was 70% full :?
I suppose this is still fallout from being hacked?

I see the "view unread topics" link moved, and the "mark all topics read" link is gone. That's all I've noticed so far.

It appears we still have a few residual problems from having been hacked. I recognise some of the problems (no visible PMs ain my inbox and at least one post I nmade has dissapeared) you describe from my own quick scoot around the forum when I came into work this morning. We have also upgraded to the latest forum software as a sensible precaution against future problems but I don't know if this has changed the functionality of the forum in any way. I'll let our resident experts address this but please keep posting issues you find in this thread so we can identify them.
