Mark, Tempting as it was, like Tiger Woods with a hood, it went to a very nice ex airline pilot who lives in Hastings.

Looking forward to seeing you in a week'S time.

Sincerely,

R

"I have owned the car since April 2003....
....Leaking headgasket so the car needs a remanufactured radiator, head skimmed and new headgasket set. The Tax and Mot have now expired. I am looking for £3000 or very near offer. Bills to show I have spent £11,155 on the car since I have owned it plus the purchase price and the respray!!"

Poor B@stard, this bloke deserves a medal! I hope his new car is a dream of reliability.

I am still looking for a dead or crashed one, but I'm only paying £1k and I think that would be the final insult to his ownership. :P

Price now dropped to £2350... hmm... getting more tempting....

How difficult is it to do a head gasket on one with A/c?

Not that tempting.

Spend all that time and money (assuming that the head is skimmable, and that the block hasn't cracked) and you're left with a reasonable Elan that still has 115,000 miles on it.

You can't help but feel extremely sorry for the owner, but it's really worth very little.

Well I reckon I could buy at this price, break it and turn a profit - the dash, boot carpet, jack holder alone are probably worth £1500.

I see M100 PW is up for sale again. Looks like it did indeed go to a garage. They're now looking for £9k. That's an expensive valet and polish!
It's on pistonheads too.
