When I pulled the driver's side interior door panel, not only was I delighted to find a signature (Stevie), but also "Fed Red" over "6748". Any elucidation?

Hello Dan Church, I can only assume Stevie had trouble spelling

Don't think it is completely referencing colour -- I think it is saying; This is a Federal car and it is red in colour.
There are lots of non_USA (ROW) LHD cars so the Fed would prevent confusion.
