Wastegate wiggle attempt #1

So I am a total rookie, and can't even get across step #1...removing the heat shield.

I don't see how you guys access the 2 bolts that are not front and center (like the one on the engine)...any advice would be great.

You don't need to remove the turbo shield to undertake the wastegate wiggle.

I gotcha...so all I need is some long head pliers to access the shaft and then just try to work it back and forth as much as possible?

You could, but I've found that the result is better if you undo the 3 bolts that hold the wastegate capsule onto the impellor housing - you get a much better range of movement so it stays fixed for longer.
