Rambo, I travel up the A1 each Thursday to Edinburgh, across the M8 to Glasgow and down the M74 back home. Just checked streetmap and typicaly Innerleithen is bang in the middle, miles from anywhere (best place for you to be honest :P ) I could cut through to Galashiels or Lauder and it would be aprox midday.
