Back on the road at last....

Further to our accident at the end of March and after some 5 months of frustration with the blasted insurers, we have just collected a fully rejuvenated “Loti” from the garage/body shop. She looks wonderful again and even the rain stopped just long enough for us to get a few miles in the Worcestershire countryside with the top down.

Oh happy days.

The drivers’ wing mirror glass is something of a temporary fix, but it got through the MOT and the inspector also dropped his assertion that the offside front direction indicator was “the wrong colour” when he realised that his life could be at risk if we could not have the car today .

Just a couple of before and after shots.

At first it appeared to be fairly superficial body work damage to the wing, bonnet and bumper, but the oil cooler was also wrecked and several other
cracks in the fibreglass body were discovered when the mechanics began to strip it down.

Thankfully, the fact that the offside front wheel had been pushed back, such that it was no longer centred within the wheel arch, proved not to be significant.
