I'm searching for an original tool kit+box.

Could anyone give me some more information on the tool kits which came with the car.

these as you probably know are a rare find
strange why that should be , as every car had one !
if i were you i would look on ebay and ask those that are breaking cars if they still have them in the boot,
you could try douglas valley breakers , they have had quite a few elans in the past.

or hope that someone reads this and offers you one,
unfortunatly its not me.

Sorry I can't help you with trying to source one, but which type would you be after?

If it's the left hand tool kit it shares a commonality with the Esprit, you could try the LEF (Lotus forums) if you have no luck here.

if you are going down the original tools then you will need the key ring aerial removal tool too.!
Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

dont forget there are 2 types of tool box/kit.....
the one specky shows with the lotus logo or the even rarer version with the pen knife....

You've got the really rare penknife version, It has the flat blade srewdriver... :wink:

Please remember that I've forgotten more than these guys will ever know about Elan ownership (and more specifically tool kits)... there is in fact a third variant (which, funnily enough I have) it's the 'covered in rust through sitting for years in water'! variant.

That would be the same as mine, although the pen knife was the only thing that was ok when i last looked :shock:
