So again, before moving this to the group buy section, let me ask:
Will someone please measure and photograph one of the Lotus originals then post the results to this thread?
Ripped, cracked, whatever, I would simply like to have some confidence the item I've proposed will in fact work before buying a ten-pack to find out I'm wrong. If it in fact works well, I'll gladly move this to Group Buys, start a list and buy however many 10-packs it takes to fulfill. I only ask we ship once to the UK and a partner in crime handles distribution on that side of the pond.

I can do this at the weekend if you don't get any takers before then.
Think we need:
1. Induction pipe diameter and seal to pipe diameter(on seal) .
2. Body hole diameter and seal to body hole diameter (on seal)
3. Number of bellows between 1. & 2.

And a photo, if you can. Not sure if number of bellows is relevant. The item I'm looking at doesn't have bellows but as it's made of vinyl, it should be pretty flexible and stretchable to conform to any differences in size or angle between body hole & intake pipe.

On the
original thread I wrote ...
..., the hole is 3.25” and the tube is 2”Unfortunately I can’t double check them now without stripping it down.
I found the rim from the original ... strangely it measures 3” where it should contact the
3.25” hole cut into the inner wing.

Doug,
Do you know if the one you're looking at has the double flange to fit either side of the inner wing ... from the picture and the details on the link it could be a single flange ... unless I've missed something.

I have a brand new, original Lotus grommet in my parts bin. It is a double lip system.
I will dig it out tomorrow and throw it on the scanner and try to get some decent pictures.
It is odd to look at. not at all like the pictures posted here.

I did a little research and the grommet that Doug found, Truck Lite 10704, is available from NAPA/Genuine Parts under "LIT 10704" for $1.69 each.
The Grote interchange is 91410, if you want to go to a truck supplier and check them too.
I don't see a groove in any of the pictures and it is .875 deep.
My local store has them in stock, so I will get one and compare it and send pictures if necessary.

I believe it is single flange so may not work.

My grommet is split, does anyone know if an original is still available or a reasonable replacement found?

The grommet is part number A100L0077F. It is available from Lotus UK for £29.18, SJs has a repro for £18.33 and DBE has them in their price book for around $46.00.
This same grommet also goes on the fuel fill nipple on the petrol tank.

Good to know. When I looked (about 7 years ago) the original grommet was NLA and a replacement, not identical, was supplied. You can see it on some of Smaug's under bonnet photos.
