just spoken to Ben and Tony's car is at the garage having his fitted today, so feed back should be coming through shortly on his setup. Now it was Karl Martin who was having the other setup i was interested in, is there any feedback yet Karl?

Fitting is not going well.

Part of it appears to be incorrect size...

:( :( :( :( :(

The issue has been resolved..but time was lost so will get it back tomorrow or wednesday

Maybe Nitron could include a drawing or 2 to stop any confusion

Have spoken to Tony and he will no doubt be along to clarify but it appears they were talking about where the damper passes through the top plate have no idea why the small aluminium parts came into it as they are for the lower rear.
This shows the top but minus the lower washer and the nut which should be fitted.

So once they fit the washers and two rubbers all should become clear.

As Bob says there really was no problem with the kit.

The issue came about as the aluminum parts were in the box with the front springs etc and not in the box with rear springs etc.

The kit came with no Drwgs or instructions

This led to the confusion.

Hopefully everyone else is now aware of this and so this won't happen again.

If Nitron had put instructions or drwgs in with kit it probably would have been plain sailing

:D :-D :D :-D :D :-D :) :-D :D

Was up at Dico`s last week and had a wee look, what a nice set of knobs  great to see the damper adjustment is from the top and really easy to get to :-D

Once my AVO`s seize up then i`ll go for the kit, hopefully that won`t be for another 5 years

:) I e-mailed nitron and was quoted, £1210 + VAT for the kit (£1421)
£95 + VAT on top if you want eibach springs (£111)
£12.50 to ship
and they don't do fitting any more
Is this correct chaps ?
VAT

Sorry to go AWOL on all this....working away from home and having real trouble getting an internet connection.

Bob, thanks for getting on top of all this....sorry about my earlier inaccurate info. (but I did say…“or something like that!”) Will be sending my kit back today.

And thanks to those that are sharing their experiences....it would be nice to see your opinions on driving (Dico, Tony....come on, spill the beans!....on a poor road surface, because it can only get better from there....shouldn’t be too difficult to find judging by what I‘ve got down here!)

Chris, as before, I have spoken to Nitron, (Ben this time) about spring ratings and percentage front to rear, because I would like to eliminate as much body roll as possible, without compromising the ability to absorb an uneven road surface. As already mentioned, the recommendation is to keep the ratings as soft as possible to the point of just sticking with the original road setup (350lb as on Rip's prototype), but Ben is researching a little further with my 400lb idea of an intermediate, something I will pursue, even if I have to change it later. Nobody really knows until its actually done and the whole system appears to be very adjustable/flexible. :)

By the time I have sent, received and had fitted, it will probably be 2 to 3 weeks.

Ben also confirmed that Nitron will no longer be doing a fitting or wheel alignment service for the foreseeable future, something the company has decided and by the sound of it, nobody is too pleased about....especially me, because I could take my car up there to shorten the time element and we could have done some interesting testing. :(

Quick update from Ben :

Road option : 350 Front, 170 Rear, 48.6%
Race option : 550 Front, 250 Rear, 45.5%
Intermediate: 400 Front, 200 Rear, 50% (which is what I have at the moment)

All Eibach springs.

Apparently, though, you wouldn’t be able to tell the different between Eibach and Nitron’s own springs, unless really pushing very hard on the track and then it would be virtually indistinguishable, so its probably not worth the extra money, if your budgets tight.

Should be back with me next week, so I’ll update as soon as they are fitted.

I've not really driven mine much to be honest. And when I have its either been wet or frosty. All I can say is that it feels much 'newer' all round. Not sure how to put it any better. Absorbs bumps etc much better than before also.

Pete told me Eibach springs were better quality, but also added that I probably wouldn't notice any difference. For £100 extra I decided to go with Eibach.

Dico, that’s Rip’s appraisal....soaks up the bumps better with less roll.

I would really like to know what the race option feels like.

Steve, yes, that’s what Ben said.... Eibachs are made to a higher tolerance but you won’t notice the difference under most conditions, certainly not on the road.

I suppose it’s academical, for that little bit extra money, you think you’ve got the better product....it's all about perceived value. :|

I got mine back today..

It doesn't seem to be any different but I haven't had chance to use it in any form of spirited driving..

Would have though it would have felt stiffer being as you have 550 lb/inch springs on the front but no doubt once you get it out and about on some twisty back roads all will be revealed!
Are geordie roads really smooth?
