We tried Admiral multicar wotsit with 10 years full ncb with me as a named driver. BMW convertible and an old passat. £900 plus

Think I'll pinch my Papas details as an aditional driver and see what happens.

It's not that cheap with a couple of cars - the more you add, the less you pay for each of them.

Just get your Father to keep it insured under his name with you as a named driver. Surely that won't break the bank ??

Or go into an insurance brokers. With that level of greyness on your napper they'll get you a good quote from SAGA

Blimey me and Murph have had our double act replaced

I put my Dad on as a named driver and it reduced by around £80. Can't put him or anyone else down as the main driver as they only seem to be able to use their no claims on one vehicle.
I'm going to haggle with Classic Line and see if I can get it below £700 (ffs). Its a bleeding joke this. I can insure the Lotus for two thirds of the ammount with the same company! I wonder if theres a VW club that a have a insurance linked discount thing wotsit.

Had a call today. Revised quote- £670. Must try harder!

Sheila's wheels tomorrow now I have the reg. Then National Farmers Union (Don't ask. I've just been told to try). Then another attempt with Classic Line. they gave me 5 years ncb as the Elan is insured with them, but it still came in at over £700.
Get the Passat in 2 weeks so bags of time to hunt around still.
Btw, i added my Dad to one policy (as suggested) as a named driver and it came down by £80. Going to try this with Classic Line.

The quotes from Go Compare etc came in at above £7000

I'm having a nightmare trying to insure my 18 year old son, after getting a really good quote with Footman James (£900),
buying a "Classic Mini" based on that quote and then to be told that the company doing that has pulled the plug as of 10:30 tuesday morning ,
the best quote so far now is £1500
