Hi, i'm planning to replace my top as the orginal is sagging very badly.
Curious to know if anyone has experience with this seller ?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989-199 ... 3caebbd697any other recommendations?
my local fitter quoted me S$2650=GBP1300=US$2085 which I find expensive. He doe sgive me a one year warranty against leakage though..
i read somewhere in LEC that changing the top is pretty straight forward. does anyone have the ctual experience?
appreciate any responses
tks

Yikes! your local guy seems very expensive.... Sorry can't coment on the us ebay seller.
I think the origional manufacturer was trim technology
http://www.trim-technology.com/index.html I contacted them about a year ago when I almost bought a car that needed a new hood and I believe I was quoted about £750
but they included all seals except rear deck seal so if they still have them could be worth the price.
Another option would be carhoods direct. I have heard of people that have used them for Fiat Barchetta hoods that were very happy with them
£385
http://www.carhoodsdirect.co.uk/catalog ... &cat_id=82 No idea what the Lotus hood is like though, sorry
I'm sure someone else can offer better advice...

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The N/A-Team.

Tks guys.
I spoke to another shop, and they claim that if the top is only sagging and not torn, it may not be necessary to change the complete top. They may be able to tighten it with some nip and tuck
Will send the car to them next week for the shop to assess
