Just had my renewal through from Peter Jones - £229.17.

Everything declared - self and spouse to drive, full European breakdown/recovery, legal protection insurance, fully comprehensive, agreed value, unlimited mileage.

Bargain........

.....especially as that amount covers both the red one and the blue one :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

yep garaged 3000 miles agreed value £5k (need to send pictures in) . was surprised myself as I put my daily driver in a ditch in march (on way home from essex/herts LEC meet). must be in a good postcode, suppose living in sticksville down a dirt track has its benefits

Just transferred insurance over to 2together. Really good deal. £150, garaged, 5000 miles, fully comp. No photo's required. Considering I was paying over twice that with previous insurer thought it worth the transfer and cutting my loses.

Another thumbs up from me for 2gether insurance. The guy at the other end of the phone (Gary) was very helpful and chatty and saved me over £100 on my renewal quote from Hagerty

£133 for 3000 miles, garaged, £5000 GVS, agreed mods etc... Can increase to 5000 miles for an extra £25 if and when needed.

An excellent deal and well recommended.

Not sure if they're in the market for boy racers with loud dump valves Monty :smt043 But it's worth a phone call anyway. What you save against your current insurance may even pay for another track day :burnout:

Kim

I just bought an S2 and had all kinds of fun getting insurance from the usual suspects (see my location: car in Bristol and I'm not!) Mostly refusals; £665 from A-Plan and even sites specialising in insurance for expats made the eyes water (£880 with a £450 excess from Stuart Collins!)

I gave Kim a call and now have £253 for 1500 miles or £292 for 3000 miles, self + spouse, agreed value, £100 excess. UK and Europe breakdown/recovery cover for £40.

Kim is a commercial broker but has personally specialised in Lotus because of his own interest in Lotus cars. So definitely worth a call especially for anything that doesn't conform to all the requirements on the cookie-cutter sites (modifications, track days...) I'm well pleased and it shows what can be done by a broker prepared to put in the legwork

There seems to be an emerging theme of getting a good deal one year and then the following year the premium is increaed significantly. 2gether went from £130 to £363 with no explanation (or claims from me).
Tried all the comparison sites and other specialists highlighted on here but only got as low as ~£200. Have googled classic car insurance and came up with Cherised Car Insurance which could offer fully comp, 3000 miles and free assured value for £99. :D

Yet another vote for 2gether £200 this year which matches that paid to Footman Jones last year, FJ wanted £275 this year after adding my recent SP30

2gether have no quibble guaranteed value, 5000 miles, European cover & £100 excess!

A winner methinks

2gether didn't return my calls, so went with Adrian Flux, £75 cheaper than Footman James renewal quote.
