WINTER REFURB COMPLETE

Postby J46_MAV » Thu 19.05.2011, 13:31

I decided to bite the bullet and get the front end resprayed over the winter as the stone chips were getting excessive after 19 years. This then became the bonnet as well, then the front wings, might as well do the sills, do that bit in front of the rear wheel arch and whilst its there do the rear bumper as well. After that it needed a new rubber lip (Walker Rubber - about £11.00), some decent number plates and a 'mop' over the remaining original paintwork.

It now looks like a new car and always has driven like one. Ready for Castle Combe (but only if the weathers good)!

Looking good, by the way.

Yep, the garage put the lights on backwards and didn't seem to think it mattered. I told them that it would be pointed out to me ad nauseum if I left them as they were....

As for the MINI wheels, the car's looking so good I am sorely tempted to put it all back to standard. Stand by for a set of MINI wheels and Elise rear lights for sale.

Car looks great!
If you do decide to remove your Elise lights and light pods I would most definitely be interested.
I've also sent you a PM.
Cheers!
