Can't add avatar.

I've tried to add a picture of my car as an avatar but can't seem to get it to upload. I've reduced the size but find it difficult to get it down to 11kb. If I reduce the pixel size to acheive 11kb it still won't upload. Help!!

Nothing. I expected the image I'd chosen to appear in the box but it doesn't and if I click submit nothing happens. Having looked at my images again they are 12.5 kb and I can't seem to get it down to 11kb.

Sorry mislead you a bit there, I get the message 'The avatar’s filesize must be between 0 and 11 KiB.' I can't seem to reduce the file size lower than that.
