Hi - new to the forum, hope you can help. My hazards light switch has blown up - apparently when my bumper was removed, the indicator wires were trapped when it was replaced, and eventually they shorted and blew the switch (as well as the fuses). Apparently Lotus aren't making the switch anymore, which is a bit of problem. Any chance you have one, or can point me in the right direction?

try your local Vauxhall dealer, I believe they are Carlton switches. There is one on e-bay but it is very expensive.

Just to let you know, a couple of us are trying to organise a method of getting hold of these whenever they appear on eBay.de and get them over to blighty. We can then build a bit of a stockpile and have them to hand to help anyone out. Seeing as it is a commonly asked for part, makes sense to buy them when seen and hang on to them! Guessing we'll average the cost as some are cheap and some aren't, so it makes sense just to have a fixed cost, although We don't know what that will be yet.....

The majority of the hazard switches on eBay.de will only ship to Germany OR the shipping costs are astronomic, so we need a cunning plan (which we think we have).

As it happens you can also get all sorts of other switchgear on eBay.de, so if it works for the hazard switches, the process might work for other parts too - as long as they are relatively small.

Still working on the finer details but hope to have an update in the nearish future.

In the background Cliff and I have been quietly buying up all the hazard switches in Germany!

They are due to arrive in the UK any day now, so we will have a stock of spares (along with a lot of other switch gear as quite often there is a whole set from a senator/carlton/omega in one lot on ebay.de). I think we have about 10 hazard switches in transit

I was thinking that we might try and run this as an 'exchange plus cash' program, since Cliff and I have invested a bit in making this possible. Given that the price varies considerably between some (£1) and others (£15) without postage, how would people feel about having a fixed price of £15 per exchange, with any surplus going to the LEC coffers? Otherwise, we'll have to price them all individually and it will be bit of a housekeeping nightmare (and I am too lazy to work it all out!)

Hopefully, some of the exchanged units can be mended to keep the stock levels up.

I appreciate that they can be obtained for less on occasion from ebay/breakers etc, but if we keep a stock, then we'll be able to send a replacement out pretty quickly and keep peoples cars on the road.

Sounds great to me. I can't remember if mine is broken or just got pushed in, but I may need one, I am also trying to get hold of the heated seat switches; I think I have a website in Germany that sells them for 12 Euros, there is no picture on the site but I left the page up on my iPad which is at home a few weeks back. I'll dig it out and pass over the info.

I realize this is an old post but will try anyway . . . I am looking for a piece of the rear taillight cover, just the red (in the US anyway) rectangular plastic insert that is about 4"x1.5" (10cm x 4cm). It mounts just outward of the backup lights. The rest of my lense cover is fine, it is just this red plastic rectangular piece that I am missing.

For now I have a Walmart reflector stuck on but would like an OEM part. If not, any suggestions?
