Last I checked with Ken from DBE they were on the unobtainium list. This was last year though. Things may have changed. The rubbers are still available but not the steel mounting cups that I need.

If anyone is following this link and looking for the parts I quoted, I goofed:

The rubber cup for the front shock is A100C0121H for the FED car, but DBE has always sold A100C0038F and it is $5.05 from DBE (if he has any left) or £3.28 from a UK Lotus Dealer.

The metal cup is listed as A100C0075F for any car ($132.00 at DBE or £36.21 + VAT at a UK Lotus Dealer) but I found out that an OLD part number is A100C0039F which was available at DBE for $20.00.

I ordered the two they had left and one will probably go to Marie. If anyone wants the second, send me an email with your address so I can figure the shipping.

An update. I got a replacement for the cracked hub carrier and had it fitted. The garage called and said the springs were still catching on the longeron and asked what I wanted to do. I simply got the car back. I decided to drive it up from the NE of England to Glasgow on Saturday. I reckoned if there was a problem Kenny Brown would be able to sort it. I started off and was immediately concerned. The steering was unresponsive with a lot of latency and the cornering was horrible. This, I believe with hindsight is because they waxoyled the front tyres as well as the wishbones! After 10 miles or so the steering and cornering were perfect again. I got all the way to Glasgow without once hearing the 'clunk' they reckon happen when the springs touch the longeron. I believe they were making the noise when lowering/raising the car on the lift rather then when actually driving the car. If I decide to fly over jumps like I'm in Rally Finland I might hear it but otherwise I don't think it's going to happen. It was absolutely lovely to drive especially after a few weeks in the Honda Civic. It's so quick and effortless!
