Actually, my last backwards calculation, after a brimmed fill up gave me a very satisfactory 35mpg!

I do find that a lot of my driving is quite slow speed stuff, in lines of traffic, so I simply then drop into fifth and wait for better times.... These sometimes come but, gosh, the nature of normal driving seems to have changed a lot in recent times - the days of pulling out and blasting past the line seem largely gone and it seems/looks pretty anti-social to be driving that way, sorry to say. Wonder what anyone else reckons?

I never checked but I'd bet mine will return 30-35mpg. My buddy with the
Jenson Intercepter is jealous, I can outrun him and go 4 times farther per
gallon of gas!

remember to qualify your calculations based on the type of gallon, imperial v. US. Miles per US gallon will be about 20% lower than imperial.

1 imperial gallon = 1.2 US gallon.
1 imperial gallon = 4.54609188 litres
1 US gallon = 3.78541178 litres

Let's make it easy and from now on, everyone will express economy as liters per 100 KM.

in my youth i used to drag race and my times were never as good as my us counterparts times...altho the top speed was better .
then i went on a trip to erwindale 1/4 mile usa miles probably shorter than uk miles and the track sloped down hill ffs
