2. stickshift
3.door handles i saw something silver there(that's what i want)
4.maybe the console (where radio,heater,a/c are)
5.back(tail) lights mostly the right one.
6.caps of hood where is the mechanism going up and down.in some elans they are usually broken.you know, the caps.

this is the image of my car.
lot of parts are in very good conditions except the parts cutted by the guard rail.
I have to wait a couple of weeks before dismantling it because of the insurance.

Upon second look i think 'oh my god" glad you got out of it alright.
Kubica style .. its was a big one then. ouch

A POLITE NOTE TO ALL THOSE AWAITING PARTS.

Seems like many are waiting for your insurance company to let it go .

1.It has to be mentioned that the insurance company might not let him buy it back
2. even if they do it may be at a rediculous price that Fredrico may not want to buy it back.
3 lets hope that Fredrico gets another beautiful elan and keeps some of his cherished parts for himself.
4.Be patient . Fredrico has a life that does not mean being on here every 5 minutes. Lets not appear as vultures. He may not be physicaly over the accident. It was a big one.

Wishing you a speedy recovery and hoping you find a replacement car and stay in the club.

Hello,
I had money from the insurance...now I can start to sell parts as they do not want the car back.
I need to speak before (tomorrow?) carefully with the breaker as I may take off the weels and suspensions.
I do not want an other Elan, to be honest, as my Elan was one of the only 3 painted in that color, it was almost perfect and I know that with a different one I'll feel the differences. there are only few S2 in Italy, most of them red that here is seen as "I want a Ferrari, but I can't". I do not want a Ferrari!!

anyway, my car has gone, I'm completely ok, with no injuries at all.
Lucky man, really lucky.

as far as I'll need soon a car with 4 seats, I'll go for a Cooper S. it is the "normal" car most similar to the Elan, I think.

I'll try to reply to everybody, respecting the priority.

I start now searching for prices previously used into this forum and EBay. I'll try to use them with discounts for multiple parts shipments.

you do not live in Italy, where red sports car are linked always to Ferraris!
I've been a fan of Lotus since 1978 when I was 7..... and I really liked the blue of my car but I think that the most beautiful color for a Lotus is Metallic Green with yellow stripes.
anyway, I do not want to open a flame on the colors right for a Lotus.

Sorry to see the mess you've made of your beautiful car but so glad you came out of it unscathed.

As it's an S2 and a lot of parts may be desirable, have you considered getting the whole car shipped back to the UK if sufficient people are after parts?

Looking at the cost breakdown it's probably going to cost about £600.00 to drive down with a trailer collect the car and drive back, that's just fuel and ferry/tunnel fares. Could be economic if you take the cost to ship heavy/bulky items like engine, gearbox, doors etc as it will soon add up, depends on the level of interest and if anyone is willing to do it.
Here's a thought borrow Geralds car transporter, all things are possible.
