I was originally prepared to cry but noticed on closer inspection, it's a Kia, not Lotus. I guess painting the Seoul skyline on the side wouldn't have been as recognisable.

This morning the French people are waking up to a new President.

Meanwhile, Carla Bruni's waking up next to an unemployed French midget.

I give it six months.

My early solo glider flights were in a K13 or a Blanik. The Blanik creaks & moans a bit but is pretty solid, nice to fly though! That was a lot of years ago, I've since seen one in a museum!

This is pretty amazing:

This took a month to happen. Sometimes the little things make you happy.

Really, what made me happy was that I didn't forget and drive past the magic point without seeing it.

Yesterday I shut the car door in a supermarket carpark and the rear view mirror fell off. Couldn't have been funnier for those nearby if I'd been dressed as a clown and the wheels had fallen off.

Little kids make you smile. They like being seen in a cool ride with the top down. In fact, they use the word.

A kid says, "Hey Dad, can we go for a ride in the Triumph/Lotus?" A ride, not a drive to a stated destination, as the car is the destination!

Quite a few things have made me smile recently, celebrating 'ol Lizzie's jubilee with my mate being one!

The official position of the Vatican to scientists is that it's OK (gee, thanks!) to study the workings of the universe but not to question or study its origins, as that is the perview of the church alone.

It's 2012 fer 'Cris sake, and we're still being told scientific opinions constitute heresy!!!

It's all about power and control. Religions have been the worst for hampering progress, genocide, eradcation of culture, manipulation for self gain, suppression etc.

Nonsense statements like that from the Vatican just prove further how you shouldn't listen to them!
