Rowan Atkinson

Was reading a group test from Car Magazine in 92 comparing the SE with a Delta Integrale and a 911. Most interesting was the comment from Rowan Atkinson, not a huge fan of Lotus I believe, he wrote "As for the Lotus it is rather badly made, but has the best chassis of any road car I have driven. Astonishing grip and responsiveness".

Sums it all up rather nicely, he did then say he would take the Integrale, but high praise from a motoring nut
Lotus, giving new meaning to 'better to travel hopefully than arrive'

Hmm. 3 very different cars there.

Lotus: all development goes on the chassis then the budget runs out before they get to things like roof which are much better developed on other cars.
Porsche: Totally appalling design with a big engine & put together nicely with a hefty price tag.
Lancia: Sorry I can't think of anything good to say about it.

Of course Mr Bean goes for the Lancia.

So speaks someone who has never driven an integrale

The Lancia Integrale is on my "bucket list" - one to own before you die.

I'm ticking lots of my list so far !
