Retrim Planned - need inspiration!

Postby paulsmithmk » Tue 07.08.2012, 13:30

I am planning a retrim of my seats, etc. Currently they are cream with blue piping and the door panels are also cream - all other leather is black. I was thinking Blue/Orange or Black/Orange (I have a thing for orange and it goes with the blue exterior). I have seen RIPS car and like the unique style he has made but it would be great to see what others have done. Also has anyone else had the dash and centre console done - I think thsi would make it really unusual...?

Thanks - hope to see some photos!!

I think blue & orange would look good...says he who went for purple

I think Lamborghini offer an orange interior.

There are 3 I have seen with grey/black & bright red seats. These take a minute or two to get used to but one you are used to them, they look great.
I recommend seat heaters too. I gopt mine from e-bay for about £30 per side. They make driving roof-down at night a pleasant experience.

Had my seats done a Bromsgrove Autotrimmers last year in light grey and poppy red, not cheap but worth doing; Rip is right about the seat heaters.

Currently looking at recovering the door panels & have been quoted £100 each side plus another £100 for the centre console by Southwest Autotrimmers who did my steeringwheel but may attempt it myself.

Similarly , and rather outrageously, SW quote £750 labour to do the Dash and that was just the labour! I may speak to Bromsgrove again.

could be...it depends on who you asked and what you asked them to use....

lotus did the seats at £400 each......then add on steering wheel, gaiters, carpets, door panels.....etc etc....
I bet you could get there........

have you spoken to the woman who used to work for lotus and set up on her own?.....

I'll have a look around a see if I can see it...

Seems dear, twice what I paid BAT last November (& I thought they quoted high against some of their previous work priced on here). BAT won't do your steering wheel though!

A hide from Martrim is about £150 so that's 300 quid accounted for, the rest, I deduce, is labour.
