Rang the garage today to see if they had heard from the owner but wasn't quite prepared for the reply.
I spoke to the son of the garage owner who said that he had heard that the owner of the car had been taken into hospital in Spain but did not know why! Explains why I have had no reply.
The son also informed me that unfortunately the garage owner (his father) had passed away two weeks ago! Must have been sudden as I spoke with him three weeks ago about the car.
I expressed my condolences and the son explained he was controlling affairs at the garage and that he wanted rid of the Elan.
He is attempting to contact the owner also. My details were left and it’s just a case of waiting now.
If it comes my way I will strip it down and assess the corrosion to see if it’s worth putting back on the road.

No, no accident damage was running fine apparently before the gear change cable broken. Just left out in the weather for 7 years !!!!

Were the wing mirrors on this car ever fitted to a M100 or are they aftermarket? They look different to any I have seen.
