Whats the thinking of using a Fuel cut defender

Before spending 100 quid on something which *could* harm the engine, I'd see if the overboost can be prevented. (of course, if the intention is to maximise boost over and above what the Everest gives for more power, then I'll shut up!)

Whats the thinking of using a Fuel cut defenderi was maybe thinking of using a TurboSmart fcd which is adjustable so maybe keeping some safety margin & checking the afr's etc on a dyno, of maybe better still having a afr gauge installed?
