I have just fitted my Hardtop ( modified MGF) after 3 and a half years of blood and sweat.
Just hope its worth it?
First impression is good , noise and comfort is improved.
I am yet to complete the sealing which was always a problem with the elan.
If there is an interest I can supply more details.
Good luck to anyone else who decides to make one.

I like it very much, it fits the Elan perfectly - at least design wise. I'd be interested to know more about the conversion, how you did it and where the blood and sweat went...

I've just put on my SPC hard top on for the winter - it doesn't take much doing (2 man job), just a little bit fiddly to get the correct alignment with the hood frame catches (it’s just one bolt). I added some insulation tape to the soft top seal to prevent the catches rubbing.

That looks good, i maybe interesting in doing this next year. What about a write up with photo's? I`m certainly interested.

It`s a shame the other member who had done all this before didn`t let LEC have the write up that he produced :poke:

You could buy my car, and it comes with a free one!

(Although I already have an offer on the table for the hard top alone, if I can sell the car without it first....)

It's really simple: There were very few hard tops made for the M100. Nobody is making them anymore. Nobody that has one wants to sell theirs. You can try to modify an MGF top to fit. Several members bought the CD with the distructions and pictures, but nobody offered to add that information to the LEC's information collection, so you will need to track down someone that has the disc and possibly share their expense for getting those details.

Right now, if you want a hard top, you will need to buy a car that has one and then re-sell the car.
