Help re: off-set 16" aftermarket wheels

Out of boredom i think, ive been looking at wheels again, something which will fill the arches maybe a little? how does the ET work out when going for a wider wheel? i.e. Rota Grid 16" 7" 4x100mm ET40, not sure if im getting this wrong a ET 40 would stick out further then say the standard S2 16" wheels but with it been a 7" wide wheel would this make matters worse or better in relation to the standard off-set Just looking though....... but i like the Rota wheels but not sure if they would look good on a Black Elan? personaly id avoid going down this route, but i see your in york and i have a set of ET42 wheels that i had fitted to my elan for sale, you might need a hubcentric spacer to clear the brakes (i used 10mm to clear my hispecs) and if memory serves theyd need two tyres but have a gander to see if you like the look. personaly i thought they looked ace, and think they'd look even better on a black car.

The wheels do look nice, but i am looking for somthing a bit more curvy but thanks for the mention.

Ime getting more confused now just had a look on this wheel ET calculator http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp and ime getting the following:

Current wheel spec: Width 6 1/2 offset 60
New wheel spec: Width 7" offset 45

Results the same

This looks fine to me, however, you MAY experience a little more bump steer, but I am not
a good enough driver to notice such things.

Thanks for the offer, again nice wheels but not what ime really after more on the lines of the picture i posted......... But out of interest, what's the offset? and did you have any probs with them on a Elan.

can't remember the offset 50? and no problem fitting them to the Elan - only thing was they used a different bolt - so I have one set of bolts for the S2's and another for these

I've been looking for a set of 5-spoke S2 wheels for my Federal M100(please contact me if you have a set - any condition), and liked these as an alternative:

tirewrack.com also has an app to show(kind of) how they look on the car they have OZ Feather in gold similar to the Konig's but more expensive.
