Lotus Aftersales Parts List - Newest Version

Postby Brit-Car-Nut » Thu 16.08.2012, 17:33

The Current (2014-2) Aftersales list for ALL Lotus Cars is now available.

Here is the link: Current Aftersales List in Excel format

Here it is in PDF: Current list in PDF format

Previous lists are still posted using "Current-Aftersales-List-(year).xxx" as a file name. PDF and XLS are still there.
They can be picked from the list here: http://www.lotuselanm100usa.info/manuals/

Since this is an ever changing list, I have decided to rename it to "Current-Aftersales-List.xls". This way, every time I get an update, I can post it and the link will always supply the newest list.

Here is the link: Current Aftersales List in Excel format

Aftersales ordering is a bit more complicated.

I sorted the list by model code by part number and the M100 is model code is 100 so the M100 parts start in the middle with A100x - that is row 186.

If you want the list sorted any other way, send me an email and I will send you the list as requested.

I have been instructed to contact my dealer and have them place the order with Lotus quoting the Aftersales price.

The parts will be sent to them at the correct price and you pay the dealer when you collect them. My dealer usually gets his orders on Friday and so far, everything has worked smoothly.

If it helps, I use

Robert Chapman
Stratton Motor Company
Ipswich Road, Long Stratton, NR15 2XJ
Tel 01508 530491

http://www.strattonmotorcompany.com

I get no kick-backs or commissions from this dealer. Robert has been very patient with me and understands the Aftersales system.

Tried contacting my Lotus Dealer, Bell & Colville, and they said I have to contact Chris Brown at Lotus as he is looking after the list. Funnily enough I met Chris at Shellsey Walsh Hill climb only a week or so ago :-)

So I did - he has just phoned me and taken payment and parts will be dispatched to B&C in a couple of days. Chris's contact details below

Texas: It appears the B and C are just trying to avoid Aftersales orders.

I just got off the phone with Chris to confirm I had the right information. The Aftersales team has been reduced and they don't have the manpower to handle orders directly. The dealers have been instructed to take the order and place them directly. If the dealer doesn't want to behave, you can call Chris - but he is out more than in since he handles the Lotus to dealer relationships completely, and you might have to wait longer to even place the order.

Also, when Lotus takes the order, They MUST collect VAT which stays with the order regardless where it ends up. By ordering through the dealer, the dealer can remove the VAT when shipping outside the VAT region (like the US).

I also asked Chris about the lack of response to emails sent to the aftersales email address and even his address too. He fears that Lotus IT has placed a strong filter in place and a lot of emails are being blocked from even getting into Lotus. If anyone sends an email to Chris or Aftersales and doesn't receive a reply, try using another email account to send the message as your emails might be getting blocked.

So: Chris asks that you FIRST try your dealer and if they say they can't honor the price, ask THEM to call Chris Brown who will set them straight. If they refuse, then find a different dealer who isn't quite so greedy. If you still have a problem, email is better to reach Aftersales and then as a last resort, you can try calling.

We want the Aftersales program to continue and don't want Lotus to say administering it is interfering with daily work so they scrap the program.

Just got off the phone with Lotus and there have been no new versions of this list BUT there should be a NEW LIST by Christmas that will supersede all other lists.

Watch this spot for the new list.

The NEWEST Aftersales list is out. This list replaces all prior versions and might be the final one before the M100 parts are sold in bulk to a profiteer.

Here is the link: Current Aftersales List in Excel format

Here it is in PDF: Current list in PDF format

I sorted the list to get all parts ordered by car type and then by part number. The unique M100 parts numbers start with line 444 or A100A0658F. Other shared or common numbers are in their first use car group.

Lotus Logo wheel centres for the OZ wheels are part number A082G6071F.

These can now be ordered directly from your local dealer. They all have the newest prices as the standard price. Even DeRoure has been updated.

Hi John.
What does the (SP) mean after the part description and have the prices gone up from the last list or do these prices include VAT? :?

I assume it means Special Price and no, they don't include VAT.

The prices have been going up every time they release new lists so anyone that procrastinated getting what they needed from the last list(s), really lost a good thing.

In early 2011, Specky arranged for a final romp through all of the previous Aftersales lists and we ran it like a group buy. Lotus was very generous in allowing the members to pay the old prices for a huge list of parts before most of them went obsolete. We were warned that it was a last time special deal and prices would go up until the cost of storing the parts exceeded their value at which time they would be obsoleted.

The cost to manage the Aftersales requests and the fact local dealers were not happy to have to handle the discounted parts for free pushed Lotus to decide to lower the true retail price and let the dealers make a small profit in exchange for their handling the orders and funds collection.

The good thing is the new price is universal - anyone that goes to their dealer will get these prices. No special order policy, no lists to Lotus and selecting the servicing dealer. Even the US parts system has adjusted their pricing to reflect the new prices. Remember, the US system has to "import" the parts and pay shipping, customs and import duties on everything, so don't expect the US dealers to get the parts with just a currency conversion.

This might also cut down on the profiteers as the price will remain low until the parts are exhausted. Most new parts listed on eBay are all from earlier aftersales programs and Lotus allowed anyone to buy as much as they wanted. Those 260 quid upper wishbone sets cost 20 quid when they were listed.

There are a lot of numbers with very low stock available, so remember, once they are gone, DVB and their ilk will be the only source and the parts will be used.

Jump early. Don't wait because a lot of these parts will be gone very soon.

I seem to be able to open the old list but not the new one; any ideas why this should be?

No idea. I can open it. It is Excel v2000 sp3 which is older than office 2003 but I do have the compatability add-in loaded.

Here it is in PDF:

So all I have to do is contact my local dealer, give them the part numbers and price and they should get the parts for me.
This just sounds too easy... I'll call tomorrow..

In the UK that is easy. In the US, they will order it for you but Lotus US doesn't stock any M100 parts so you will be waiting around a month.

THe US dealer orders from Lotus US who then orders from Lotus UK who eventually ships it in the monthly container. Lotus US pays for the container, Customs and Duty all of which gets passed on to you.

Cheaper and faster to order from a UK dealer.

Probably the best way to buy is from / through a Lotus Dealer in the UK and have them post the parts to you.

EU dealers seem to be able to get the parts but if your local Lotus dealer can't get them, just use one of the UK dealers instead.

Robert informed me that he will receive the order from Lotus early in the new year.
