Does anyones Élan actually have the pads visible in this video. Mine only has the pads on the engine bay under hood. It seems in this, preproduction vehicle as the drives states, there are pads glued to the trunk top and top clam bottoms. Look carefully as he lifts them. There are pads that make the car looked more finished than without them as they are on mine.

I can't see what you mean.
It amuses me that he complains about the arm rest though. He would be fine if hr re-learned to change gear properly.

I think GoM100Go means the black liners on the underside of the boot lid and the hood stowage lid.
Yes, mine has those liners. Also, yes, they would look a bit unfinished without them.

Ah, OK. well: mine has them as well and they are available through ebay sometimes.
You can always cut them yourself.

There was a group buy for those a while back. If enough interest is there, I am sure it can be repeated.

Interesting
I also have a Fed car without these two items. As a matter of fact both my Fed cars did not have these.
And their is no glue present where they would have been.

The underside of the roof stowage cover was also sometimes carpeted.
I wonder if it was a case of 'today we can be bothered, tomorrow we can't' ?

Interesting - 4:15 and 4:38 if you want to look. There's an outfit in Florida that makes pads for under the bonnet; maybe with a pattern they could also make the boot and hood clam pads if provided with a pattern. Something else to add to the "to do"list.
Click here for the original bonnet liner thread.

Nope - my bonnet liner also needs to be replaced. Smaug's original BOV vented up and damaged it. One more on a long list of things to do in my "spare" time.

I always just assumed that the one on the blue car had been removed by a previous owner until i read this - now maybe it was just that this bit of the car was put together on a 'cant be bothered' day

Hmmm, not even sure if blipi has these carpet bits...
Will need to check. If she does and they can peel off ok there will be a spare set for someone!
