Its not raining!

First time in weeks its not raining!! Out for a quick run around. Still a lot of flooding around the area, but now going down.

Still raining down here as it has been since 20th September
Last outing was to the H&C on the 7th November.
I am determined that this Elan is not going to turn into a garage queen but I have lost one engine to hydro- lock ( bent conrods etc) in the past and due to the disgraceful state of the drains and ditches around here you can drive around virtually any bend and be confronted with 18 inches of standing water!
Also after taking such care to avoid water coming in from the hood leaking I'm buggered if I am going to fill her up from the bottom

It's not quite that bad, although we did have a major panic before Christmas when the flooded fields spilt into our garden and my workshop (which is still drying out). if we have much more rain I will be fitting floats to the cars.

Thanks, the photo dos'nt do real justice to the multi coloured pannels on the car, I don't think that there are two the same colour.
