shopping time

Postby de_stanny » Sat 19.01.2013, 01:48

today driving my baby to lunch she didn't boost at all anymore.....
first tought a big boostleak ....checked all the tubes on the parkinglot but nope that was not it.
driving back to work she didnt go above 3000 rpm anymore ....no CEL lights nothing grrrr.

i must say that in the last month the boost did vary from 1 bar to 0,5 bar on the gauge and you could feel the diff acceleration.

brought her to the local shop behind the office and discussed with the mechanic... i was suspecting a faulty cat , the mechanic pulled the 2 bolts behind the ristriction pipe and u revs went again

so now the search is on i need a new exhaust hehe ... any sugestions ??? like the sound doh and the acceleration is super :burnout:

only got pullet over by the cops in front of my app building .... was a little to excited and the noise of the open exhaust didn't help either .....but got away with it  so beers tonight lol.

Hi Stanny,

piper 2.25" would be my suggestion.
Do you want the cats back? If not, porting the wastegate might be in order. A Piper PCE is do-able, the Piper downpipe... Would not be my first suggestion

I just fitted a 2.25 piper with sports cat today and I love it! The quality is spectacular and it sounds great! It feels much more responsive as well. My old exhaust was rattling and was rusted out, this one fixed all my problems and was well worth it. I think it gave me a little more power and torque as well, not sure how much but I can definite feel it!
I hope to get a mountain chip to finish my performance parts list in the next months. Once I get the mountain chip, probably a switcher chip, the car will be very alive! :D
