Postby lottus77 » Fri 08.02.2013, 01:50

Hey guys

Are there more than one version of the elan hard top?

If so does anyone know if there are any pix showing them on the car?

Thx :)

White one is a FHC.....not convertible
Black one is a kuching top....they're around....but quite rare and you'll be paying about £1500

The Wiki has a section for Elan hard tops and mentions RYO and NTC designs. Am I right to think that neither of these went into production?

There is the prospect of more Kuching hard tops being made, if there is sufficient demand. I would like one, and would be very interested to know if others would like to be part of a group buy. I hesitate starting a group buy on this straight away since I have already begun one this week for roll-over hoops (see Group Buy section).

Yep I spoke to Simon about 5-6 weeks ago and he was going to look in to the costs for manufacturing some more, both in carbon fibre and plastic. Still waiting for the details but he did say it would take a while.
