Hi
Elan se turbo, drives great but on the overun the exaust pops and even when stationary while free reving the engine it pops as the revs fall .
Does anyone know if this normal or does it signafy a faulf ???

I would say it was normal ,well mine has always done it with NO resulting complications

Oddly enough, mine has started doing the same thing.
Static timing is OK and Elanscan looks good, I'm glad I'm not alone.
(Could there be mysterious additives in our petrol? - sad conspiracy theory)

Its usually just unburnt fuel in the exhaust!!
