Deep Joy!!!

Postby DaveT » Wed 01.05.2013, 10:59

Well!!! Maybe one of you can help me sort out an issue that has been of some concern for a while? Please.

Definition of Deep Space- that area of space that lies beyond our solar system.

If this is correct and the US of A have a "deep space communications unit" then it begs the question- Who are they communicating with in deep space?

If they are just listening it would be called the "deep space Listening unit".

The fact that they are communicating implies that there is something out there to converse with.

How about voyager 1 and 2 and other deep space probes that need 2 way communications? :poke:

It's an odds on certainty that there are other inhabited planets out there and I suppose the USA are sending out signals that represent prime numbers or something and then waiting for a reply.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Signals intercepted and shown here:

Do any of you advanced genius conehead alien civilizations have answers for:

Should the Lotus Elan wastegate be ported to 20, 21, or 22mm?

Why does the Elan have four times as many coolant hoses as other cars?

How do you raise the bonnet if the cable breaks?

How does one fix the window lift mechanism without wanting to ball the whole thing up and shoot it into space?

There is a lot of info on Voyager 1 & 2 on Wikipedia.
Scientists can't agree on the limit of our solar system. The 2 probes are in an area which some scientists would say is outside.
I'll go have a drink.

1. Consensious is 21mm
2. Grafting an odd engine into the car required lots of compromises
3. It depends where the cable breaks: For a LHD car: If at the Bonnet Release lever, you can find the cable along the route: l/s if firewall, across the firewall, along the r/s wheel arch, behind the bumper. Stretch the outer jacket to get to the inner cable. If it breaks at the latch, remove the front bumper. I don't know how for a UK car, but the cable runs inside the r/s (off side) wheel arch.
4. Buy a Ford! :D

No thanks! From Ford F150.net:

There is a product defect with power window regulator on all 2004-2008 F150 trucks. After my 2002 Expedition caught fire in my driveway and burned my home 2 months (a year AFTER recall cruise control deactivation harness work), this is really icing on the proverbial F-O-R-D Cake. Ford knows they have problems and refuse to address them. There have been literally HUNDREDS of window regulator issues across the country and we, as owners of Ford products, are being victimized. After the burned carcass of our Expedition was hauled away, we replaced it with a 2003 Toyota Sequoia. Very easy to see why Toyota, and all imports, are ruining US car makers. The level of quality and attention to detail is miles above that of any US automaker. What we need to do as consumers is stop buying American-engineerd cars- PERIOD! That is our right, and that is our power. Besides, there's nothing more American about a Ford or GM than there is a Toyota or Nissan in today's corporate structure. This window thing is a serious safety problem and expensive to fix. Check out all the forums. There are hundreds of these cases and we are helpless against a large company going under because they don't care about the consumer. Thankfully, my repair will only cost me around $300 parts and labor as my window wasn't damaged. Only $300...

Why not get a replacement window motor yourself? Quite a few Chinese / India'n replacements flooding the market.

I had an '05 and '07 Supercab and new Expeditions every 2 years from 1999 until 2003 or 2005 and never had any issues with the windows - or anything else - I accept the reality that it is often luck to have no issues. I know there is a problem with the brake master cylinder mounted balance check switch - that is the most common cause of fires and new houses. Ford tried to blame the cruise control, but there is constant power to the switch and when the cylinder starts to leak internally, the switch ignites the brake fluid. It is well documented. I never got any of the recall notices for the Expeditions or F150s but get one every few years for the '95 Taurus cooling fan. Go figure.

Yeh keep this thing sensible!!!

As this Deep Space communications Center is in Nevada, Close to Edwards AFB and the notorious Area 51 does this not make you more suspicious?

I have long wondered if the USA politicians were talking to someone on another planet- bit like our I suppose.
