Clutch Kit - HELP!!!

Postby Zio.Fester » Tue 25.06.2013, 09:49

Hi
I urgently need to replace the clutch and i have found this
clutch kit for Elan Se Turbo at 238 € + shipment:

http://seekpart24.com/japanparts/clutch ... 51&at=8401

http://www.findpart.org/part/jap-kf995

the original diameter is 225 mm and this one is 200 mm.
my question, it's possible to fit? it's compatible with our cars????

thanks everyone!

I would be very cautious about buying a clutch from an aftermarket trader unless it was a recognized name like Borg and Beck or Sachs ,the obvious reason for this is ,the labour for remove and replace will be far greater than the price of the clutch and the last thing you want to do is strip it all down again because the drive plate or the driven plate or even the release bearing are of inferior manufacture ,I I was replacing mine the clutch would have to be the same size as the one that had been removed Just my thoughts you understand.

Why do this? SJ Sports cars are doing an M100 comparable clutch kit for £148 plus VAT plus delivery - seems a more viable, cost effective and reliable solution!
