Another update.
This week I checked TPS sensor, Secondary Throttle, Wastegate.
Also did a test run with the solenoid for the wastegate disconnected.
Used the TECH 1 to read the data, but nothing came up to help us determine the root cause.
Without the Everest, we experience the same fallback in RPM, though it's much less noticable.
Put the Everest in another Elan S2 (first I did a warm-up and test run with the TECH1, no issues here) and it worked fine.
So it's defenately not the Everest.
Next thing I could check was compression.
With my engine cooled down quiet a bit, we reached 7 Bar on cilinder 1 and 4, 4.5 on cilinder 2 and 5.8 on cilinder 3.
Now scheduled a leak test to find out if it's the gasket that has a leak between 2 cilinders, or maybe exhaust valves with small cracks or not sealing properly.
Scheduled the day after Lotus Festival.
Anyway, the cilinder head needs to come off to repair, a "nice" job for the fall.
Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary… that’s what gets you.
