PM Outbox

Postby TrevorB » Thu 24.01.2013, 09:56

Can anyone in Admin help out?

I have a couple of pm's stuck in 'OUTBOX' which do not appear to want to release into the ether. Have received ok and not had
problems in the past. Could someone look at the problem for me. Many thanks.

TrevorB

You may know this already Trevor,

I understood they were waiting for the recipient to view them before they would leave your outbox.

Trouble is the recipient doesn't need to as he can read all the detail on the email he's sent.

If you have had a response you can simply delete them yourself ... normally.

Thankyou Ray, I did wonder if that was the case

Hi!

I am having a couple of message stuck in my outbox as well.

If I understand the situation correctly, the messages have indeed been delivered to their respective recipients, but still show up in my outbox, because they have not yet been marked as read. Correct?

I just want to make sure that those messages have indeed been sent out.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Wolfgang,

As you say the messages have been sent out, and the recipient may have read the text directly from the email they received alerting them to the message.

Until the receiver opens his/her PM message, the system will not show it as received. The system also sends a copy of the message to their email and they know the contents of the PM but haven't gone in and validated this.

Try to use the email option when that is available.
